The Clare County Review

The Clare County Review began publishing in 1947 as the Farwell News by J.M. Grim. In 1972, the paper was renamed to the News and Review. Then, in 1985, the focus of the paper was shifted to covering all of Clare County, and it was subsequently renamed the Clare County Review. Later on, it moved to an office in downtown Clare, to better cover the entire county. In 1991, the current publisher, Mike Wilcox sold it to Pat Maurer, who remained publisher until March 2009, when Wilcox bought it again.

Today, The Clare County Review continues to be located in downtown Clare and provides news and advertising to several thousand readers in Clare, Farwell, Harrison, Lake, and Lake George.
